Call for Posters and Demos
A poster and demonstration session will be held during the ISORIS’14 programme. Researchers, industry representatives and students are invited to share and demonstrate their works progress, research demonstration and test beds, industry demonstration of new application or techniques, upcoming research challenges, future directions, and novel approaches. For students, particularly, this session provides valuable opportunities to interact with experts and receive valuable feedbacks for their on-going project.
Researchers and developers from industry and posters/demonstrations reporting on joint work between industry and academia are also encouraged to participate in this session. Quality participations will be awarded based on the following categories:
Posters Category
Gold : RM 300
Silver : RM 200
Bronze: RM 100
Demos Category
Gold : RM 300
Silver : RM 200
Bronze: RM 100
Topics
The topics of interest for this session will be similar to the research tracks specified in the call for papers. Authors of accepted papers in ISORIS’14 may also submit a poster/demo on the same work, but they are required to pay fees of 50% discounted price for this session.
Posters/Demos Submission
Participants are expected to submit a two-page proposal describing the works of the poster and/or demonstration. Please use the provided template to prepare your proposal. The proposal should clearly state:
•the problems to be addressed;
•what makes this problem interesting, important, and difficult;
•your approach to overcome the problem;
•the key contribution.

Presentation of the proposals will be evaluated primarily on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and promote collaborations. Participants of accepted proposals either as a poster or a demo will be required to prepare a poster and to present their work during the Poster and Demo Session. Please do also aware of the following details:
•You are responsible for transporting your completed poster to the conference venue.
•Posters should be ready for display by the beginning of the first day of the conference.
•An appropriate display board will be provided during conference.
•The size of posters should generally be of a standard A1 paper size – approximately 23.4 × 33.1 inches or 594mm x 841mm or 59.4cm x 84.1 cm. Posters should be portrait (not landscape) layout.
•You also need to pay for registration fee of RM50 upon acceptance.
**A space will be allocated for each participant. Any special requirements should be identified in the appendix of the proposal.
